Believe us, we know - simply joining the Certified Proud network is only one step towards developing an inclusive society. That’s why we created The Certified Proud Fund. 40% of each business’ membership fee will go straight into this purse. No messing around here! The fund will provide support to charities, non-profit organisations and other projects with the intention of increasing the social impact the network creates. In this way, each Certified Proud member is working to foster inclusive work spaces and consumer experiences, while also giving back to the LGBTQ+ community. Best. Of. Both. Worlds!
The Certified Proud Fund 2023 is now open!
Applications close at midnight on June 23rd.
Last Year’s Awardees
The Certified Proud Fund is proud to support the following four organisations as they make the world a better place for the LGBTQ+ community.
HIV Ireland
HIV Ireland’s mission is to advocate for individuals living with HIV, prevent new HIV infections and combat HIV-related stigma and discrimination. They provide support, counselling and outreach to people living with HIV as well as targeted preventive services to people at risk of HIV including gay, bisexual and men who have sex with men, transgender people, black and minority ethnic groups, migrants, asylum seekers, sex workers and people who inject drugs.
Na Gaeil Aeracha
Na Gaeil Aeracha is Ireland’s first LGBTQ+ GAA club. Their mission is to offer members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies a safe space to make new friends, keep fit, and to connect with their national sport without fear of prejudice, judgement or harassment.
Southill Hub
Southill Hub aims to provide an open and safe space for the community of Southill in Limerick to develop educational, recreational and social opportunities in a healthy environment. They have formed a small LGBTQI+ Youth Committee, who spoke to Youth Workers on what they feel would be beneficial to young people from this funding stream. The young people spoke about hosting a LGBTQI+ Youth Event, Stand Up Week event, awareness days Drop-In space, and community events. This would, in-turn, bring young people and the community together, fostering positive and healthy relationships.
The Switchboard
The Switchboard’s purpose is to provide confidential support and signposting to the LGBTQIA+ community, their friends and families or to anyone who requires support and information. The Switchboard’s vision is to increase the availability and diversity of support to service users, to provide a service that is flexible to meet the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community, their family and friends, to create and maintain a strong identity in the LGBTQIA+ community and the community at large.
